Ingredients:

Chicken … 850 g
Onion (Sliced) … 1 Medium
Tomatoes (Sliced) … 4 Medium
Green Chilli … 5 – 6
Garlic Paste … 1 Tbsp
Cooking Oil … 2/3 Cup
Salt … 1 Tsp
Red Chilli Flakes … 1 Tsp
Coriander Powder … 2/3 Tsp
Cumin Seeds … 1 Tsp
Black Pepper Powder … 1/2 Tsp
Yogurt … 2/3 Cup
Ginger (Julienne Cut) … 1 inch piece
Cilantro … For garnishing

Method:

– Add cooking oil in a wok/karahi
– Add onion and cook until light golden in color
– Add chicken, salt and garlic paste
– Cook on medium to high heat for 8 – 10 minutes while stirring
– Add Tomatoes and cook for 1 minute
– Add red chilli flakes, coriander powder, cumin seeds, black pepper powder and green chilli
– Mix it
– Cover and Cook on low heat until chicken tenders
– Remove lid and cook on high heat until it releases oil
– Now add yogurt and cook for 5 – 7 minutes on medium to high heat
– Add chopped ginger and cilantro
– Turn off the flame
– Chicken Karahi is done
– Serve it hot with naan or plain rice
